Cedar Rapids, Iowa – The Cedar Valley Humane Society posted on Facebook that they had received a donation of $14,307.92 in celebration of Betty White’s 100th birthday.
Thousands of fans, as well as several organizations, paid tribute to the late actress and comedian on Jan. 17, the day she would have been 100, by making contributions to an animal shelter or rescue operation in her honor.
The Betty White Challenge was the name given to the movement, which was created to pay honor to White’s efforts on behalf of animals in need.
