Restaurant Week is starting in downtown Cedar Falls
Cedar Falls, Iowa – Restaurant Week in the Cedar Falls Downtown District is about to begin.
This is a fresh attempt to draw attention to the various dining establishments along Main Street.
Event & Promotion Coordinator at Cedar Falls Downtown District, Kassidy Tessendorf said, “We always want to support the locals. We have some great places down here. It just brings exposure and keep it in people’s minds that these places are down here, and that they are great.”
To encourage customers inside their dining rooms as patio season approaches, ten days of events are being organized by neighborhood eateries.
Tessendorf added, “We don’t always have specific I would say restaurant heavy events, so this one focuses on the food aspect. The fun part of the job is that we get to work with a lot of the retail and restaurants, and we do have a very vibrant downtown.”
There will be 16 participating venues from April 19 to April 29 that will provide specials featuring various menu items or even new ones.
Several eateries approached the downtown district’s coordinators about holding a restaurant week.
La Petite is one of the eateries that is taking part in the event. One of the first eateries to approach the district about holding the event was this one.
Anyone who wants to participate in Restaurant Week can pick up a stamp card by visiting one of the participating locations. A person can turn in their card for a chance to win a gift card at one of the participating establishments once they have enjoyed the offer at six or more of the stops.
