Show You Care organizes kids’ nonprofit workshop close to Solon
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – A woman from Solon is raising money to end human trafficking in Iowa while simultaneously utilizing artistic workshops to support children’s learning and development.
Every craft and handcrafted wreath here encourages children to express their creativity.
These workshops, according to founder Teresa Shymansky, are transforming children’s lives one project at a time.
She claims there’s a larger goal behind the paint bins and marker stacks: to assist in rescuing children from human trafficking.
According to Shymansky, she founded her charity two years ago and now provides summer camps for both adults and children.
According to her, all annual event revenues support Chains Interrupted in Cedar Rapids and Operation Underground Railroad.
She claims that they have raised thousands of dollars thus far.
“A youngster needs $100,000 to be pulled out of that situation. Have them fully recovered,” Shymansky advises.
She claims that the number of seminars and volunteers at her NGO has increased.
In order to help families who cannot afford to bring their children to camp, she has worked with United Way to provide free camps.
It’s an adult retreat for children. It’s simply a fantastic playground for everything they enjoy doing.Says Shymansky.
She claims that her goal is for this place to make people happy while also bringing attention to children who are in need.
