St. Luke’s ER treated five people with fireworks related injuries in Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Every year UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Emergency Room (ER) has an increased number of patients with fireworks related injuries on 4th of July.
For this 4th of July weekend, St. Luke’s ER staff treated five people for fireworks injuries.
The individuals suffered injuries as follows:
- Firework to upper chest
- Burn on legs
- Firework to arm and chest
- Two people (individually) were treated for ash/foreign body to the eye.
