Two years in prison for man who abused and injured a puppy
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – At the Linn County Courthouse on Friday, a Cedar Rapids man was sentenced two years in prison for aggravated misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty.
According to a witness, Jayden Cliff grabbed the puppy on be back of his neck, threw him on the ground and kicked the puppy. The puppy, Kimble, suffered two fractured legs and was hospitalized on April 1st.
Jayden Cliff agreed to the sentence without appeal.
Iowa is the only state in the US to prosecute first-offense animal cruelty as a misdemeanor.
