Two injured, one of them critically, after train collides with a car
Black Hawk County, Iowa – A train collided with a vehicle in Black Hawk County just after 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of South Canfield Road, injuring two people,, one of whom was seriously injured.
As the train approached, the vehicle became trapped on the rails.
The driver was transported for treatment of non-life threatening injuries to Allen Hospital. The passenger of the vehicle was taken to the same hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigation regarding the crash is ongoing.
