Bertram fire extinguished by crews, no injuries reported
Bertram, Iowa – Firefighters extinguished a fire that started from a vehicle in Bertram and no injuries were reported.
Around 2 p.m., multiple agencies were dispatched to the 1700 block of Timber Ridge Drive for a car fire that had spread to a house.
A Dodge pickup caught fire in the home’s driveway and spread to the connected garage. The fire crews on the site were able to put out the flames before the house was completely destroyed.
The vehicle fire is believed to have started as a result of a technical issue and then spread to the garage.
The automobile was totaled, and the garage sustained significant damage.
