Authorities investigating a targeted attack that left a juvenile wounded
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – A 911 report of shots fired in the 1600 block of 7th Avenue SE in Cedar Rapids was received at 7:24 p.m. Sunday evening, and Cedar Rapids police responded.
On arrival, officers discovered a juvenile male with a gunshot wound to his lower back on an enclosed porch of a property. In order to treat his injuries, which were significant but not life-threatening, he was sent to a nearby hospital.
According to police, the shooting was a targeted attack.
