Court proceeding for a Cedar Rapids man charged with murder postponed
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – The court proceeding for the Cedar Rapids man who is charged with the murder of a woman who allegedly died in his house one month ago has been postponed.
The trial of Arthur Flowers was initially scheduled to begin on June 7, 2022. The new date is the 28th of June, which is a three-week delay.
A first-degree murder charge has been brought against a 62-year-old man in connection with the death of Emily Leonard. She was found dead in the bathroom of his residence, which is located on 10th Avenue Southeast.
The police suspect that Flowers caused Leonard’s death by beating her.
He had entered a not guilty plea earlier.
