Family displaced after Linn County house caught fire
Cedar Rapids,, Iowa – A family of five has been forced to leave their house after a fire engulfed parts of their Linn County residence. On Sunday morning, crews were sent to 5180 Chestnut Ridge Road NE in Linn County, where they found a structure on fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a garage had caught fire and it was spreading to the house.
Significant smoke and fire damage had been done to the house before fire crews were able to extinguish the flames.
The cause of the fire is unknown at the moment.
The family has been displaced and is now staying with relatives.
