Fayette County crash resulted in multiple injuries, one in critical condition
Maynard, Iowa – An accident in Fayette County resulted in the injuries of three people.
The incident occurred near the junction of 110th Street and P Avenue in Maynard, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, at around 7:47 a.m. Tuesday morning.
It was reported that 51-year-old Theresa Bachman, from Maynard, did not make a proper turn and collided with another car.
Tiffany Watts, 35, of Oelwein, and a child passenger were sent to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
According to deputies, the Maynard Fire Department had to extricate Bachman from her car. She was eventually transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Both vehicles are considered a total loss.
