Fireworks & Fireflies event will take place today
Marion, Iowa – The return of Fireworks & Fireflies event was announced by the City of Marion. This free event will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3 at the Klopfenstein Amphitheater in Lowe Park, 4500 N. 10th Street, Marion.
Despite the fact that the event is usually held in July, organizers chose to postpone it to September in order to accommodate a larger crowd and help kick off the Labor Day vacation weekend. Future fireworks displays are expected to happen in July.
Hanna Plumbing & Heating, Inc. has agreed to serve as the event’s presenting sponsor. More information on sponsorship opportunities can be found at www.cityofmarion.org/fireworks.
Attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Coolers are allowed. As the event date approaches, further information will be accessible at www.cityofmarion.org/fireworks .
