Friday afternoon shooting in Cedar Rapids under investigation

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Police of Cedar Rapids is investigating a shooting that occurred on the city’s Southeast side on Friday afternoon.
After receiving a complaint of numerous gunshots being fired, police were dispatched to the 1400-block of 8th Avenue SE shortly after 2 p.m.
Officers investigating the incident discovered a 2011 GMC Terrain with gunshot wounds and bullet casings near the 1500-block of 8th Avenue SE.
Police say no one was inside the vehicle.
