Hiawatha Public Library invites special guests at “Picnic in the Park”
Hiawatha, Iowa – Earlier today under the brown pavilion of Guthridge Park, the Hiawatha Public Library had their “Picnic in the Park” featuring a very special guest. Mr. Shucks from the Cedar Rapids Kernels was their guest this week.
“Every Wednesday at 11:30 we have stories, silliness, songs, and a special guest. We invite people to bring their lunch and they eat while we are having fun and being silly. They have time to hang out with our special guest and meet up for pictures. And I always have a craft for everybody and a special snack,” says Alicia Mangin, Youth Services Librarian at the Hiawatha Public Library.
Special guest for the next week will be: Jake the pug, his human Thomas and the Major of Hiawatha.
Story times in the library will return on July 13th at 10:30 a.m.
