Man who died following a shooting in a parking lot in Cedar Rapids identified
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – The man who was shot and later died following a shooting incident that took place on Saturday in the southwest side of Cedar Rapids has been identified by the officials.
The incident occurred in the block of 21st Avenue SW around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The 40-year-old Florentino Ramirez Landin has been identified as the victim.
Investigation conducted after the incident showed that the victim was wounded in a parking lot while being accompanied by people near to him when a vehicle arrived. The victim died later at the scene.
Authorities believe that the incident was targeted and there is no danger to the community.
Despite evidence has been gathered and numerous witnesses interviewed, the investigation is still underway.
In this case, no information regarding suspects or potential arrests has been published by the police.
