Masks to be required at city-owned buildings regardless of vaccination status
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Starting Tuesday, the city of Cedar Rapids will require visitors to wear masks at city-owned buildings, regardless of vaccination status.
In a press statement, city officials cited the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s updated mask guidance, which recommends wearing masks in locations where transmission is significant or high.
As of Tuesday, Linn County is listed as having a high degree of community transmission, according to the city officials.
With the new mask policy in place, all city-owned buildings will remain open to the public.
Residents can access city services by phone or by email.
