The 2025 Kid Captain program is now accepting nominations

Iowa City, Iowa – The Stead Family Children’s Hospital 2025 Kid Captain program is now accepting nominations.
If the child is 18 years of age or younger and has been a pediatric patient at UI Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital in the past or present, parents or legal guardians may nominate their child.
The deadline for nominations is March 7.
In August, Kid Captains are invited to a unique behind-the-scenes tour of Kinnick Stadium and are given a commemorative jersey.
The hospital and the Iowa Hawkeyes have been selecting young captains since 2009 in order to recognize and celebrate their inspirational tales.
