The Caitlin Clark Foundation donates 22,000 children’s books in honor of its birthday

Iowa City, Iowa – Caitlin Clark, a former Iowa Hawkeye and WNBA player, donated books on Wednesday to celebrate her birthday.
According to the Caitlin Clark Foundation, 22,000 brand-new children’s books will be distributed.
Thanks to a donation from Scholastic, they will be used to support initiatives that help disadvantaged kids nationwide.
In a statement, Clark added, “Education and reading have always been very important in my life.” As a child, I recall how empowering it was to choose the books from the Scholastic flier and how inspired I was to read. I want to give children the same opportunity to grow as readers and to let their imaginations run wild.
The gift initiates a continuing partnership between the Caitlin Clark Foundation and the United States of Readers, Scholastic’s nationwide reading initiative.
