Trails and parks in Marion reopen after flooding
Marion, Iowa – On Friday night in Marion four to six inches of rain fell in a short period.
The rain caused flash flooding and trails and parks were closed over the weekend in Marion.
The section of Boyson Trail from Boyson Road to Donnelly Park as well as Thomas and Legion Parks have reopened as of Sunday. Despite that, part of the trail from Donnelly Park to Thomas Park remains closed due to trail repair.
The public is asked to observe and follow signs at park and trail entrances.
