Community invited to join free corn harvest in Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Linn County residents are invited at Dows Farm, 622 Dows Road in Cedar Rapids to join in a Free Community Corn Harvest.
Farmers have planted the corn and Linn County community is invited to pick it in the last ten days of July.
Residents are encouraged to bring boxes or bags to carry corn through the fields and also to share rides due to limited parking.
The community will be guided through the fields and the picking process by farmers and volunteers.
