Construction project closes sidepaths on 10th Avenue in Marion
Marion, Iowa – On both the north and south sides of 10th Avenue (Business Highway 151) from 35th Street to Eagleview Dr., Peterson Contractors Inc. (PCI) will begin construction of ten-foot shared-use paths on Monday.
To accommodate the shared use paths, this project includes embankment construction, ditch reshaping, partial removal and replacement of side road intersections, and storm sewer work.
The contractor will begin work between 35th and 44th Streets on the project, which will be completed in three stages.
Due to the construction’s proximity to the highway, the outside right lane and/or shoulder of Highway 151 will be closed to traffic.
Additional notification will be sent as the project progresses and when side road intersections are blocked.
