Crunch Berry Run returned in Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – After missing out on last year’s event due to the pandemic, hundreds of people turned out for the Crunch Berry Run in downtown Cedar Rapids on Saturday. Also making a comeback were the white shirts worn by participants, which had been intentionally ruined with powders and paints of various colors, giving each participant their own unique memories of their accomplishment.
This family-friendly fun run and walk, inspired by multicolored Crunch Berries, began at the 2nd Ave Bridge in downtown Cedar Rapids and included routes of various lengths, all the way up to a regular 5k.
People of all ages and abilities took part in this non-competitive event, which was not timed. Aside from the shirt, each participant received a pair of commemorative sunglasses.
