Freedom Foundation hosts celebration for veterans in Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – A celebration for U.S. veterans was held at the Union Station Bar & Grill Extension Hal. Veterans gathered at the event for a first time since Covid-19 pandemic.
At the celebration, hosted by Freedom Foundation, veterans and their families enjoyed with live music and free food and drinks. This is the third year the event has taken place.
“This is our small way of saying thank you to the veterans for what they have given all of us and this event would not be possible without our sponsors, all of the volunteers but this event is for the veterans,” said Lexi Coberly, executive director for the foundation.
Around 150 people gather at the event in previous years.
