Ribbon cutting ceremony and open house at West Willow Elementary
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – The newest school in the Cedar Rapids Community School District will have a ribbon cutting and open house on Tuesday afternoon.
Coolidge Elementary has been replaced by West Willow Elementary, which is located on 1st Avenue Southwest near Stoney Point Road. During the summer, the district demolished Coolidge.
West Willow began classes in August. However, because the building wasn’t finished, construction has been going on alongside classwork.
At 4:30 p.m., there will be a ribbon cutting and an open house.
