Suspect arrested in Iowa City shooting, one hospitalized

Iowa City, Iowa – Following a gunshot in Iowa City on Tuesday morning, one person was hospitalized and another was taken into jail.
Officers were dispatched to 402 Fairchild Street at 9:46 a.m., according to the ICPD, for several reports of gunshots.
When authorities arrived, the suspected shooter was on the second floor of the house. That individual has been arrested and charges are pending against them.
Another individual on the scene was shot multiple times. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.
According to police, there is no danger to the public.
