Woman arrested after hitting a motorcyclist, faces multiple charges
Des Moines, Iowa – A woman has been taken into custody after hitting a motorcyclist with her car while under the influence.
The crash happened in the 1700 block of University Avenue in Des Moines at 12:15 a.m. on Sunday. Witnesses provided life saving measures on the 68-year-old motorcyclist before arrival of the first responders.
Upon arrival, paramedics took the man to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officers determined the motorcycle crashed into the car after 34-year-old Tina Clark turned into the path of the motorcycle.
Investigators ran additional tests on Clark that led to charges against her. Clark is facing OWI (1st Offense) and Serious Injury by Vehicle (OWI) charges.
